We are Longshore Tutoring. We first began tutoring in1988. It wasn’t until 1993, however, that we established our first offices on Main Street, in Pleasanton. Eleven years later, we had outgrown our downtown location. On September 1, 2004, we moved to our present site at 1020 Serpentine Lane.

Conveniently located, we serve the students in the public schools in Pleasanton and Livermore, and in Sunol, Dublin, and San Ramon. We also tutor students attending St. Michael’s, Valley Christian, Moreau, Carondelet, and De La Salle schools.

Scheduling is flexible, which allows our students to continue their extracurricular activities in addition to tutoring. Our tutoring begins after school each afternoon, and extends into the late evening, Monday through Thursday. We are available on Friday afternoons and Saturday mornings by prior arrangement.

• Tutoring sessions are fifty-five (55) minutes in length

• We offer last-minute, DROP-IN appointments, on a space-available basis

Tutoring is tailored to the needs of the individual. We work with students on review and remediation, homework, preparation for tests, and preview of new material. We are familiar with your child’s curriculum, and with the textbooks and materials used in the classroom.

• Student-to-tutor ratio is typically 2:1.

Our tutors are experienced, long-time tutors and teachers of middle-school and high-school Spanish, sciences, and mathematics. They enjoy working with young people, they are passionate about the subjects they tutor, and they are deeply committed to their students.
